
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) talked to Stanton Chase’s Global CFO Practice Leader and Vice Chair, Cathy Logue, about Laura Crossen’s interim appointment following Chief Financial Officer Gustavo Arnal’s death in a recent article titled, “Bed Bath & Beyond Names Laura Crossen as Interim CFO.”
Faced with a significant gap in leadership at a critical time, the company moved swiftly to appoint an interim CFO from within. A seasoned executive with the organization, Ms. Crossen will need to manage the retailer’s depleted liquidity and work to restore trust and confidence in her new role. “Bed Bath & Beyond needs to send a strong message to the street and communicate that they are focused on the turnaround,” WSJ quoted Logue as saying.
